About AKVL

This web site is for exploring the inspirational aspects of
alchemy. Sometimes the artistic approach - rather than the
scholarly - is the more direct and adequate means for
grasping a difficult subject matter. Artistic endeavours are
best understood as vehicles for intuitive research; indeed,
for me, they are a necessary complement to the ordinary,
scholarly, research in the humanities.

While this web site has a psychological impetus, I have
